1^st DAY: PIOMBINO/PORTOFERRAIO

Arrival of the group in the afternoon or evening at the port of Piombino. Start of our services. Boarding operations for the Island of Elba. After approximately one hour the ferry arrives in Portoferraio. Accommodation in the hotel in Marina di Campo/Procchio area, dinner and overnight stay.

2^nd DAY: WEST COAST – LENGTH: 65 KM (on provincial road) - DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM

After breakfast, meeting with the guide (if reserved) and departure for the first mountain-bike excursion. Departure in direction Marina di Campo/Cavoli along the “ring” of the western coast. The group can admire the natural beauties and villages of the island. With little stops along the way, the tour follows the itinerary: Cavoli, Seccheto, Fetovaia, Pomonte, Chiessi, Sant’Andrea, Marciana Alta, Poggio. Descent to Marcina Marina with a stop at the port which is dominated by a “Pisan” Tower of the XII century. It is possible to visit the perfume laboratories of "Acqua dell'Elba” where perfumes are made with flowers and plants exclusively picked from the island. Return to Marina di Campo, through Little Island of Paolina, Procchio, Marmi, airport. Free time for lunch or lunch in a restaurant (if reserved). In the afternoon, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

3^rd DAY: PIANOSA (max 20/25 bikes per tour)

After breakfast, transfer to Marina di Campo. Meeting with the environmental guide. Transfer by motorboat for the isle of Pianosa. After ca. 45 minutes the group will arrive on the island to visit the now not populated village, where abandoned agricultural structures can be found. It is quite possible to find wild pheasants and red partridges introduced to the island when it was privately owned by Tuscan's Grand Duke. While admiring the beautiful parts of this island, a path will reach the castle of “Marchese” with its elegant halls. The excursion continues along the beautiful coast of Pianosa where it is possible to see numerous marine birds’ nest. Then continuing to the internal side of the island surrounding by great smells typical of the Mediterranean Sea and having the feeling to be able to reach the islands of Elba and Corsica by foot, the group reach “Cala Giovanna.” After visiting the ancient pieces of the Roman Villa Agrippa Postumo, grandchild of Augusto Ottaviano the first one to be exiled of Pianosa, the excursion ends on the only beach where it is allowed to swim on the island of Pianosa (Cala Giovanna). If time permitting can be visited the Fort Teglia, which was built by Napoleon to try to organize the island for the agriculture in the 1800. Free time for lunch or lunch in restaurant (if reserved).  At the end of the excursion, the group returns to Marina di Campo. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

4^th DAY: MARINA DI CAMPO-LACONA – LENGHT: 27 KM CA. – DIFFICULTY: CHALLENGING

After breakfast, meeting with the guide (if reserved) and departure for the third mountain-bike excursion. Departing from Marina di Campo, along the asphalted road, the group can reach the Valle del Literno. From there they take the white road, until the crossroad of Picchiaie, and with a short, but steep, climb they reach Monte Orello. There is a panoramic downhill with a wonderful view on direction Capo Stella and Lacona Gulf, to arrive at the level of the sea. Along the route is possible to see some bunkers from the Second World War. Stop at the beach of Laconella, a wonderful bay characterized by green stones of serpentine. From there they proceed for a climb to Monte Fonza, until the “caprile”. A panoramic downhill lead to Fonza Gulf, from where, after a short climb, there is the last descent until Segagnana, where, by the asphalted road, they return to Marina di Campo. Free time for lunch or lunch in a restaurant (if reserved). In the afternoon, transfer to the port of Portoferraio, boarding operations and departure for Piombino. End of our services.
