1^st DAY: PIOMBINO, PORTOFERRAIO

Arrival of the group in the afternoon or evening at the port of Piombino. Start of our services. Boarding operations for the Island of Elba. After approximately one hour the ferry arrives in Portoferraio. Accommodation in the hotel in Porto Azzurro/Capoliveri area, dinner and overnight stay.

2^nd DAY: MONTE CALAMIT AND GINEVRO MINE – LENGTH: 25/30 KM (depending on the location of the hotel) – DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM

After breakfast, meeting with the guide (if reserved) and departure for the first mountain-bike excursion. Departure to Capoliveri. The trip starts from Piazza del Cavatore (164 mt on the sea level), along the ancient road to the mines, which is asphalted for around 1 km, then it is unpaved. The view is unique and picturesque: in the blue setting of the sea, surrounded by nature, they can breathe the fragrances of brooms and admire the colours of the Mediterranean maquis in bloom. The route runs along Monte Calamita. On valley floor the group can admire the bays of Morcone, Pareti and Innamorata, with its little Gemini islands and Golfo Stella. On clear days are visible also the islands of Pianosa, Montecristo, Giannutri and Giglio, with the Corse to complete the postcard. They reach the Palazzo del Compendio Minerario of Monte Calamita, where the colours change from brown to dark red, due to the presence of iron minerals. The group continues until the farm “Le Ripalte” (217 mt. on the sea level). Descend from the Cantiere Minerario of Vallone, seat of the Museum of Vecchia Officina. Visit of the Museum and excursion of Gallery of Ginevro. Free time for lunch or lunch in a restaurant (if reserved). In the afternoon, return in the hotel, dinner and overnight stay. 

3^rd DAY: CAPOLIVERI, RIPA EST – LENGHT: 18/25 KM (depending on the location of the hotel) – DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM

After breakfast, meeting with the guide (if reserved) and departure for the second mountain-bike excursion. Departure to Capoliveri. Starts from Piazza del Cavatore, which takes his name from his placement on the east side of the Monte Calamita. The group climbs until Pinocchiello, on the asphalted ramps until the crossroad of Cavallacce. From here, proceeds on the left along the unpaved road that leads to Saglione, where they can admire a magnificent view on the bay of Porto Azzurro, Forte San Giacomo, Cannelle, Rio Elba, Portoferraio, Golfo Stella and Capo Perla in the foreground, with the lighthouse of Forte Focardo; all framed in the spectacle of the three seas. By crossing Stelli, to the Cessa della Feccia, they climb on the way which leads the high part of the Monte Calamita, where they can admire boars, hares, pheasants and red partridges. Proceeding left, until Poggio di Fino, Serrone delle Rose, Torricelle and the old Capanno of Forestale. On spring, the landscape is characterized by a deep yellow of the blooming of mimosa. The group reaches the farm of Ripalte, from where the path continues to descend. After the riding school, direction Calanova, there is a series of ups and downs and by taking the left to reach the Rudere dei Poldi. Proceeding until the crossroad of Capo Perla, then direction Capoliveri. Free time for lunch or lunch in a restaurant (if reserved). In the afternoon, return in the hotel, dinner and overnight stay. 

4^th DAY: CAPOLIVERI

After breakfast, free time for relax around the wonderful square of the village of Capoliveri. The more adventurous, can try the path of the World Cup of 1994, along a challenging route of about 10 Km. Free time for lunch or lunch in a restaurant (if reserved). In the afternoon, departure to the port of Portoferraio, boarding operations and departure for Piombino. End of our services.
