1st DAY: LUCCA
Arrival of the group in Lucca in the late morning. Lunch in a restaurant (if reserved). In the afternoon, meeting with the tour guide (if reserved) and visit of the historical centre of Lucca which is surrounded by city walls and characterized by alleys, stores and goldsmith laboratories. Visit of the “Baptistry” and the churches of “SS Giovanni and Reparata”, the “Sacrestia del Duomo” and the “Ilaria del Carretto” monument. If time permitting, it is possible to visit the Museum of the Cathedral and the National Museum of the Villa “Guinigi”. Accommodation in a hotel in the area of (Versilia or Montecatini), dinner and an overnight stay.
2nd DAY: CINQUE TERRE
After breakfast, transfer to La Spezia and meeting with the guide (if reserved). Boarding for a daily boat trip. The trip develops along the coastline, from where the group can admire the wild and antique beauties of the “Golfo dei Poeti” and “Cinque Terre”: Portovenere, Rio Maggiore, Manarola, Corneglia, Vernazza and Monterosso. Visit of Monterosso, which is the last village of this famous coast. The ancient town rises on the rocky hills overlooking the sea and has some typical little coloured houses. It is constantly at risk of corrosions. The castle with its surrounded walls and its Medieval Tower as well as the Aurora Tower. Free time for lunch or lunch in a restaurant (if reserved). In the afternoon, departure by boat to La Spezia, where the bus will expect the group and return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
3rd DAY: LE ALPI APUANE
After breakfast, transfer to Carrara. Meeting with the tour guide (if reserved) and visit of the famous marble caves where excavations began 2000 years ago. Visit of Colonnata, village of miners, famous in the world for the lard. In alternative, is it possible to visit the city centre of Carrara, the Dom and the Civic Marble Museum. Transfer to Marina di Carrara. Lunch in a restaurant (if reserved) or time will be given to have Lunch on their own. End of our services.
