1st DAY: MONTALCINO
Arrival of the group in the late morning in Montalcino. Begin of services. Lunch at group's leisure or in a restaurant (if reserved). In the afternoon, meeting with the guide (if reserved) and visit of the village. It is located on a hill and dominated by a fortress, from whose towers is possible to enjoy a splendid view. From Montalcino the view can stretch to the whole southern Tuscan territory. The group can visit “Palazzo Comunale”, “Palazzo Vescovile” with the Museums “Riuniti”, the Crucifix of Sant’Antimo, the Sanctuary “Madonna del Soccorso” and the churches of Sant' Agostino, Sant' Egidio and San Francesco all built between the XIII and the XIV centuries, moreover the Sanctuary of “Madonna del Soccorso”. Check-in at the hotel (Chianciano area), dinner and overnight stay. The group can enjoy a walk through the alleys, with local shops, little cafè's and little markets where the sale of typical food products of the region. Transfer to the hotel (Chianciano area), dinner and overnight.
2nd DAY: MONTEPULCIANO, PIENZA, SAN QUIRICO D'ORCIA, BAGNO VIGNONI
After breakfast, departure to Montepulciano. Meeting with the guide (if reserved) and a short visit of the historic centre. The group can visit the Duomo, the church “Sant’Agostino”, and the church of “San Biagio”. Transfer by bus to Pienza. Visit of the beautiful cathedral (in Renaissance style externally and in Gothic style inside) and the “Piccolomini” Palace, known for its splendid courtyard. Lunch in a restaurant (if reserved). In the afternoon transfer to San Quirico d'Orcia: this town still has its medieval time walls almost untouched and surrounded by 14 small towers (the most beautiful is “Torre dei Cappuccini”). Under some of the towers, has been created the “Horti Leonini”, a public park with a nice Italian style garden. The group can visit the “Chigi” Palace, with the Well and the church “of the Collegiata” of the XII century realized above the ruins of the ancient paleochristian church of Osenna (VI century). Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
3rd DAY: SIENA
After breakfast the group will depart to Siena. Meeting with the guide (if reserved). The group will visit this charming medieval city by walking through alleys rich of stores that lead to “Piazza del Campo”, also famous for the Palio di Siena" (ancient horses’ race). Then, visit of the “Palazzo Pubblico”, the “Mangia” Tower, “Palazzo Sansedoni”, and the “Civic” Museum. Lunch at group's leisure or lunch in a restaurant (if booked). In the afternoon, it is possible to visit a farm where the group could taste local wines (if booked). Services finish.
