1st DAY: Piombino - Portoferraio

Arrival of the group in the afternoon or evening at the port of Piombino. Start of our services. Boarding operations for the Island of Elba. After approximately one hour the ferry arrives in Portoferraio. Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight stay. 

2^nd DAY (only Wednesday): Giglio Island

After breakfast, transfer by bus to Porto Azzurro. At 9:30 AM departure for an excursion to the isle of Giglio. At 11:30 AM ca. arriving at Giglio Porto, for a four-hour excursion visiting the town. Free time for lunch or lunch in a restaurant (if reserved) or on the motorboat (if reserved). At 2:00 PM transfer by bus for the visit of Giglio Castello, a splendid example of fortified town. At 03:30 PM departure from Giglio Castello and return to Giglio Porto to board the boat and departure for Porto Azzurro. Arriving at 6:45 PM ca. in Porto Azzurro. If there is enough time, the group has the chance to visit this nice village dominated by the Spanish Fort “San Giacomo” which today hosts only prisoners. The port of Porto Azzurro is characterized by the splendid long walk by the sea. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. 

3^rd DAY (Thursday): Pianosa Island

After breakfast, transfer by bus to Marina di Campo and departure with the boat at 10:00 AM for an excursion to the isle of Pianosa. After 45 min ca. arrival on the island. Tour of the island with an environmental guide. Visit of the ancient town: from the church of “San Gaudenzio”, excursion to reach “Punta Marchese” located at the extreme Nord of Pianosa, the golf “della Botte”, and the prison, known as “Diramazione Agrippa”. This was a prison of maximum security before the closing in 1997. Free time for lunch or lunch in a restaurant (if reserved). Possibility to go for a swim on the beach of “Cala Giovanna”. Departure from Pianosa at 5:00 PM and arrive in Marina di Campo at 5:45 PM ca. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. 

4^th DAY (Friday): Capraia Island

After breakfast, transfer by bus to Marciana Marina, meeting with the guide (if reserved) and departure by boat at 10:00 AM for an excursion to the isle of Capraia. At 11:30 AM ca. arrival at Capraia Porto for a four-hour excursion visiting the isle. Free time for lunch or lunch in a restaurant (if reserved). At 02:00 PM, visit of the little town, discovering its history and traditions, through the alleys and charming views. The group can reach by walking or by public bus (by paying on the spot) the penal colony. A short excursion among the abandoned buildings to understand the life of the prisoners on the island. At 04:00 PM, departure from Capraia to Elba Island; arrival 06:00 PM ca. in Marciana Marina. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. 

5^th DAY: Portoferraio

After breakfast, meeting with the guide (if reserved) and visit the old town of Portoferraio, ancient town enclosed by remarkable and impressive forts. Visit of the winter residence of Napoleon, Villa “Dei Mulini” and the historic centre. If there is enough time, visit of “Le Fortezze”, the Civic Archaeological Museum, the Church of “Misericordia" or “Pinacoteca Foresiana”, or in alternative the beautiful beach “Le Ghiaie” where legend tells the story of the “Argonauts” driven by “Giasone” while were looking for gold but tired because of the trip they decided to rest on this beach of white pebbles and rocks. Their sweat dripped on the pebbles and discoloured them and turned them from pure white to spotted white rocks. Free time for lunch or lunch in a restaurant (if reserved). In the afternoon, transfer to the port of Portoferraio, boarding operations and departure for Piombino. End of our services
