1st DAY: The group will arrive at the Port of Piombino. Services will start. The boarding pass for the ferry has to be picked up at the Ticket Office of the Moby Lines at the Marine Office. Then boarding process will start for the bus and the passengers for the Isle of Elba. After approximately one hour the ferry will arrive in Portoferraio. As soon as the group get off from the ferry, an assistant from our office will be at the port of arrival to deliver the documents necessary during your stay. Proceeding to the hotel and check-in. Lunch is on own leisure. The afternoon will be spent to observe the natural beauties and villages of the island. Meeting with the guide. With a little break along the way and an itinerary of visiting or passing: Procchio, Little isle of Paolina, Marciana Marina with a break at the port which is dominated by a “Pisan” Tower of the XII age. If the group is interested, a visit can be arranged at the perfume laboratories of “Acqua dell'Elba” where perfumes are made with essences of flowers and plants exclusively picked from the island. Continuing to Marina di Campo, passing through Procchio , Marmi, the airport or through Poggio, Marciana Alta, Sant'Andrea, Chiessi, Pomonte, Fetovaia, Cavoli. The group can visit the acquarium of Marina di Campo thats is one of most complete aquarium of the Mediterranean which hosts more than 150 species of animals and marine organism that live in 50 tubs. Returning to the Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
2nd DAY: After breakfast, meeting with the guide and visit the Museum of Napoleon in San Martino (*). The group then will get the direction for Porto Azzurro and take a break at the agricultural facility “SAPERETA” in Mola where the group can taste free of charge local wines and typical local products of Elba. A gift package will be given to the group. Arriving in Porto Azzurro the group will walk through the old town where they can see the Spanish Fort of San Giacomo which today is occupied only by Prisoners. The walk by the sea offers a fantastic view. Just a little outside the village there is the “Piccola Mineria” where a little mineral and hard stone laboratory and a reconstructed Etruscan Mineral Museum should interpret the typical Mine of Elba in that time period. By choice, a little train called “Trenino della Miniera” can be taken to relive the life of a local Miner with a tour that shows old machineries and minerals, etc. In addition, each participant will receive a small and generous souvenir. Lunch is on your own leisure. In the early afternoon, the group will proceed to Rio Marina to visit the Mineral Museum of the island with the possibility for reserving a guide (*). A walk on the beach will follow the visit reaching the tower of “Rio Marina” where, weather permitting, the islands of Cerboli, Palmaiola and the Tuscan coastal line can be seen. Visit of the oratory of San Rocco (XVI). Lunch is on own leisure. Visit of the old town of Portoferraio. In the afternoon, visit of the winter residence of Napoleon, Villa “Dei Mulini” and the historic centre of Portoferraio, ancient town enclosed by remarkable and impressive forts. Time permitting the civil museum of archaeology (*) and the church of Misericordia can be visited or in alternative the beautiful white beach of “le Ghiaie” were legend tells the story of the “Argonauts” driven by “Giasone” were travelling to search gold but tired because of the trip, they decided to rest on this beach of white pebbles and rocks. Their sweat dripped on the pebbles and discoloured them and turned them from pure white to spotted white rocks. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
3rd DAY: After breakfast, transfer to the Port of Portoferraio to start the boarding process for the bus and passengers to the Port of Piombino. After arriving at the hotel (in the area of Maremma), the group will check-in. Lunch is on own leisure. In the afternoon meeting with the guide and start the tour of the “Argentario”, a historic island transformed graciously in two areas by the time. It's famous because of its wild and beautiful vegetation and large rocks that reflects the intense blue of the ocean. The group will visit the most famous areas of the peninsula. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
4th DAY: After breakfast departure for Porto San Stefano and leaving for the Isle of Giglio. The ferry will take about one hour. As soon as the group arrive at Giglio Porto, they will meet the guide. There will be an excursion with the bus at Giglio “Campese” which is the most highlighted attraction with its white beaches, beautiful sand and its medieval tower. Continue to Giglio Castello to see its medieval jewel with its beautiful alleys. Lunch is on own leisure or lunch in a restaurant (if reserved). In the afternoon transferring to Giglio Porto and visiting the little marine village. Getting on the ferry to go back to Porto Santo Stefano at 5:30 PM. End of services.
