1st DAY: In the afternoon or night the group will arrive at the port of Piombino. Services will start. The boarding pass for the ferry has to be picked up at the Ticket Office of the Moby Lines inside the Marine Office. Then the boarding process will start for the bus and the passengers for the Isle of Elba. After approximately one hour the ferry will arrive in Portoferraio. As soon as the group get off from the ferry, an assistant from our office will be at the port of arrival to deliver the documents necessary during your stay. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
2nd DAY: This day is dedicated to tour the island. After breakfast, meeting with the guide and visit the Museum of Napoleon in San Martino (*). At the “Grotte” it is possible to take a break to admire the marvellous view of the coast of Portoferraio and visit, by choice, the ruins of the old villa from the imperial roman age. The group then will get the direction for Porto Azzurro and take a break at the agricultural facility “SAPERETA” in Mola where the group can taste (free of charge) local wines and typical products of Elba. A gift package will be given to the group. Arriving in Porto Azzurro they will walk through the old town where the Spanish Fort of San Giacomo can be seen and today it is only occupied by prisoners. The walk by the sea offers a fantastic view. Just a little bit outside the village the group can visit the “Piccola Mineria” that has a mineral and hard stone laboratory and a reconstructed Etruscan Mineral Museum. The Museum shows its own interpretation of a mine on Elba. By choice, a little train “Trenino della Miniera” can be used to experience first hand the life of a local Miner. The tour shows old machines and minerals, etc. In addition, each participant will receive a small and generous souvenir. Lunch is on your own leisure or lunch in restaurant (if reserved). The afternoon will be spent by observing the natural beauties and villages of the island. With little breaks along the way and an itinerary of visiting or passing: Procchio, Little isle of Paolina, Marciana Marina with a break at the port which is dominated by a “Pisan” Tower of the XII age. If the group is interested, a visit can be arranged at the perfume laboratories of "Acqua dell'Elba” were perfumes are made with flowers and plants exclusively picked from the island. The tour continues to Marina di Campo, passing through Procchio , Marmi, the airport or through Poggio, Marciana Alta, Sant'Andrea, Chiessi, Pomonte, Fetovaia, Cavoli. In Marina di Campo, the acquarium can be visited: it's one of the most complete aquarium of the Mediterranean where more than 150 species of animals and marine organism live in 50 tubs. Returning to the Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Evening with Music upon request for an additional fee (reservation required).
3rd DAY: After breakfast, meeting with the guide and visit the old town of Portoferraio. Visit of the winter residence of Napoleon, Villa “Dei Mulini” and the historic centre of Portoferraio, ancient town enclosed by remarkable and impressive forts. The archaeological church of “Misericordia" can be visited or in alternative the beautiful beach “Le Ghiaie” where the legend tells the story of the “Argonauts” driven by “Giasone” were looking for gold but, tired because of the trip, they decided to rest on this beach of white pebbles and rocks. Their sweat dripped on the pebbles and discolour them and turned them from pure white to spotted white rocks. Lunch is on your own leisure or lunch in restaurant (if reserved). In the early afternoon, boarding for the bus and the passengers to Piombino. End of our services.
