From there the view of the island and its surroundings is spectacular. The group will continue for “Masso dell'Aquila” and weather permitting, it is possible to see Corsica and Capraia Island. The walk continues to a trail, that once connected the villages of Marciana and Chiessi. Here there are typical Mediterranean plants and flowers. By continuing until the “Semaforo”, and reach Chiessi, a little marine village with typical white houses. Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.

It is quite possible to find wild pheasants and red partridges introduced to the island when it was privately owned by Tuscan's Grand Duke. While admiring the beautiful parts of this island, a path will reach the castle of “Marchese” with its elegant halls. Continuing to the south west coast “della botte” will be reached where the ancient roman tubs and water supplies are demonstrated. The excursion continues along the beautiful coast of Pianosa where it is possible to see numerous marine birds’ nest. Then continuing the walk to the internal side of the island surrounding by great smells typical of the Mediterranean Sea and having the feeling to be able to reach the islands of Elba and Corsica by foot, the group reach “Cala Giovanna.” After visiting the ancient pieces of the Roman Villa Agrippa Postumo, grandchild of Augusto Ottaviano the first one to be exiled of Pianosa, the excursion ends on the only beach where it is allowed to swim on the island (Cala Giovanna). If time permitting, can be visited the Fort Teglia, which was built by Napoleon to try to organize the island for the agriculture in the 1800. Free time for lunch or lunch in restaurant (if reserved). At the end of the excursion, boarding operations and departure for Marina di Campo. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

From “Palazzo della Concessionaria" (the “Burò”), and crossing the old miner village where it is possible to see how the walls of their homes had been pasted together with sand and minerals making them shiny. Continuing the colourful alleys, the group will reach the “Cantiere di Vigneria”, “Laveria”, a jewel of the archaeological industry which was recently recuperated and the “Cantiere Bacino”. This is natural museum where minerals can be picked from the ground just like bloomed flowers. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, the group continues to the internal part of the mine until the “Valle Giove” where the cultivation of big steps forms an amphitheatre. Then the group reaches “Portello” and after ca. 3 km along a coast line path, the group arrives at the “Cantiere delle Conche” where there is a small red rainwater lake.
