1st DAY: Bastia
Arrival of the group in late morning in Bastia. Free time for lunch or lunch in restaurant (if reserved). In the afternoon, meeting with the guide (if reserved) and visit of the historical centre of Bastia, city of arts and history, with the ancient port, square “Saint Nicolas” and the churches of “Santa Croce” and “Santa Maria”. Accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight.
2nd DAY: Corte, Aleria, Porto Vecchio
After breakfast departure for Casamozza and Ponte-Leccia and arrival in Corte, which is a university city and the ancient capital city of Corsica. Meeting with the guide (if reserved) and visit of the old town, reachable by a touristic train. Lunch in restaurant. Continue to Porto Vecchio passing through Aleria. Accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight.
3rd DAY: Bonifacio, Sartene, Ajaccio
After breakfast, departure for Bonifacio. Meeting with the guide (if reserved) and visit the old town with its steep and narrow streets and train tour of Cittadella. The city was built 70 meters high on white stone cliffs, and dominates the turquoise waters of the Strait of Bonifacio. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon, transfer to Sartene, which is considered the “the most Corsican of Corsican towns”. The centre is the district “Manighedda”. Continuing to Ajaccio through Olmeto and Petreto-Bicchisano. Accommdoation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
4th DAY: Ajaccio
After breakfast, meeting with the guide (if reserved). Panoramic tour to discover Ajaccio, the Imperial city, became the capital city of Corsica following a Napoleonic decree. The city has a beautiful promenade adorned with palm trees. Ajaccio has a particular charm thanks to the imposing and impregnable fortress that dominates the city. To visit: “Piazza del Diamante”, “Piazza Foch”, “Napoleon’s Cave”, “Piazza Casone”, the “Sanguinarie” Islands, the house and tomb of Tino Rossi. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon visit of the old town with “Piazza Austeliz”, the Cathedral, the birth home of the emperor in “Piazza Letizia”, where is also the bust of the King of Rome. Return in the hotel, dinner and overnight.
5th DAY: Porto, Calvi
After breakfast, meeting with the guide (if reserved). Departure for Porto, through the villages of “Golfo di Sagone”, Cargese with its two churches: a Latin and the other Greek, the “Calanche di Piana” and the “Golfo di Porto”, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon departure to Calvi, passing through “Passo della Croce”, “Golfo di Girolata”, “Fango” and “Passo di Marsolino”. Calvi is one of the most beautiful cities of Corsica. Its Cittadella was built by the Genoese between 1483 and 1492. It is possible to organize the tour by train (if reserved) and the visit of Cittadella, with panoramic view of the beautiful gulf. Accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight.
6th DAY: Ile Rousse, Saint Florent, Bastia
After breakfast, departure for Ile Rousse, small town founded in 1758 by Pascal Paoli to compete with the Genoese cities of Calvì and Algajola. It is characterized by the surrounding pink granite, from which derives its name. Meeting with the guide (if reserved). The most interesting place to visit are “Piazza Paoli”, “Mercato Coperto” and the Isle “Della Pietra”. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon continuing to Saint Florent (San Fiurenzu), ancient seaside town. A walk along the marina. Transfer to Bastia. Accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight.
7th DAY: Cap Corse, Bastia
After breakfast, meeting with the guide (if reserved) and departure for the tour of Capo Corso with: “Patrimonio”, “Nonza” and “Ogliastro”. Lunch in restaurant. Continuing to Macinaggio, Santa Severa and Erbalunga. Retour to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
8th DAY: Bastia
After breakfast, free time for shopping. In late morning, transfer to the port for the return in Italy (if reserved). End of services.
