Corsica
Corsica is an island very close to the Island of Elba, not only for location but also for character. Just 50 km from the Italian coast, it is different from any other island
in the Mediterranean: here the blue and the green are best expressed in all their shades; a "land of contrasts", where you go from the sea to the high mountains in a few kilometers;
is modernity, but also care of history and traditions, in an alternation of lively villages and animated towns, typical villages perched and large spaces,
where peace and "nothing" reign supreme.
Nature amazes with incredible surprises: a coastline alternating enchanting coves, long white sandy beaches, rocks and
golden "calanques" that create breathtaking landscapes; a paradise of transparencies and colors on over 1000 km of coastline where you can practice all water sports.
The "Île de Beauté" is not only sea: those who love the mountains, adore Corsica. Practically a "mountain in the water" with villages that express the true character of
the island and preserve the deepest traditions.
In addition to the sea, the mountains, the places to visit, the history and traditions, in Corsica, throughout the year, there are also many events, festivals,
fairs and meetings, some even internationally important, from sport to music, from religion to wine-gastronomy.
Corsica is also an adventure: those who love trekking in the mountains find great satisfaction in the many well-designed and marked, simple or more
challenging long-distance routes such as the GR20 that culminates at 2,700 meters high. Bike-riders appreciate, alone or in company, the scenic roads of the island that,
always, are the undisputed kingdom of motorbike-riders.

The official language is French, but it is currently used the "Corsican" that, more than a dialect, must be considered a real language that contains the history, culture and tradition of the island.
